On Tuesday 23rd July, 2019 we had to say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils and a few of our teachers. We had an assembly to celebrate the teachers and pupils hard work throughout their time at Mount Pleasant, with an emotional goodbye at the end. We wish all our Year 6 pupils and departing teachers all the success for the future. Two of our students from Year 6 read out a lovely tribute to their fellow pupils:
‘We think we speak for everyone when we say we love Mount Pleasant. We have enjoyed every second here and we don’t want to leave. We will miss every teacher and student in this building. Me and Hafsah both agree that we will definitely come back. All our best memories are here and we can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for us. We would like to say a special thank you to Mrs Brumwell and Mrs KD for helping us achieve all our goals and dreams. We appreciate all of the teachers hard work and effort in helping everyone in this past year. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this amazing community and we wish everyone the best of luck. As we all know there is nothing else to say but to shed the last few tears of joy. We know everyone in this room has a lot of potential in them and we hope you all succeed in your upcoming years.’ – Zumar Saleemi and Hafsah Kanwel, Yr 6 pupils
