Arts Council
Arts Council have an important role in our school. They are a group of creative children with big ideas who explore the arts in all their forms! Their voice helps to shape our environment, consult on designs for our school and create new posters, logos and badges in commissions from different responsible roles.
Arts Council are currently working towards their Arts Award. As part of the process, they have been on a trip to the art gallery, interviewed an artist, tried their hand at drama and learnt a new painting technique called ‘watercolour resist’. Here are some of their artworks – we are now starting to apply gold leaf to our designs!
Arts Council also helped develop the Response Postcards we use after trips and visits, and created this resource to help other children create remarkable responses.
