Welcoming Committee
The Welcoming Committee designed badges to wear that show the language they speak with the flags of countries where the language is spoken. Having visual and written information will show, not tell people that they are welcome!
"This is the journey that a new to English speaker will go on at their time at Mount Pleasant Junior School. Children will meet others just like them and we help and show children that they belong here."
Children at Mount Pleasant speak and communicate in a range of different languages, children are multilingual and their journey only starts here.
