As part of their history learning question, ‘What happened when the Romans invaded Britain?’, Y4 visited Fishbourne Roman Palace.

‘I found it really interesting that we saw a model of a Roman kitchen and there were Roman games and activities. We were able to discover what artefacts there were and worked as historians to put the clues together. We built an arch using Roman building skills.’ – Gabriella

‘When we went on our trip, the palace was not as big as when Togodumnus, the tribe king, was there. However, we were able to see the remaining half of the palace.’ – Marwa

‘I found that all the artifacts were not in perfect condition, but looked amazing. I liked seeing the images of Fishbourne Palace, before it was destroyed.’ – Aisha
